MFPopPerHH refers to the household size that live in a multifamily structure in the census tract.  This is the average number of people per household that live in a 2 unit, 3-4 unit, 5-9 unit, 10-19 unit, 20-49 unit or 50 plus unit structure.  A "unit" refers to a place where one family unit resides.

 

 

 






BY DOMINANT AGE OF HOUSEHOLDER

DOMAGE refers to the dominant age of the householder in the census tract.  The use of the word "dominant" means that more than 50% of the householders are in that age bracket (except when the word "mixed" is used).  The age brackets are:

15t34:
Householder age 15 to 34

35t64: 
Householder age 35 to 64

65plus: 
Householder age 65 or more

Mixed: 
Less than 50% in any category

BY PRESENCE OF FINANCIAL SUBSIDY

BY TYPE OF BUILDING COMPLEX

"Type of Building Complex" refers to the type of structures that you may likely find in this location.  The building types include:

BY DOMINANT HOUSEHOLD INCOME

Household income refers to the total income of the household.  The use of the word "dominant" refers to the fact that more than 50% of households in the location are in that income category.  Below is a list of income categories:

Poverty Income:
This category includes those in poverty and the working poor denoted by the following income levels:

Deep Poverty: 
Less than $10,000
Chronic Poverty: 
$10,000 to $19,999
Working Poor:  
$20,000 to $34,999

Middle Income:
This category includes those in the lower middle to upper middle income brackets, including:

Lower Middle: 
$35,000 to $49,999
Stable Middle: 
$50,000 to $74,999
Upper Middle: 
$75,000 to $99,999

 

Upper Income:
This category includes those whose household incomes are six figures or more. 

Upper Income: 
$100,000 plus

 

Mixed:
No category has more than 50% of the households in that category.

BY DOMINANT HOUSEHOLD RACE

"Household Race" refers to the race of the householder in the household.  Several broad categories are included in the table:

Asian:
Asian descended citizens, immigrants and refugees

Black:
African descended citizens, immigrants and refugees

Hispanic:
Although not a race, Hispanics are included together and have been subtracted from the other race categories.  These refer to those with Latino heritage traced back to Spain, but also includes those with roots in Portugal or Brazil.

Islander:
Pacific Islanders and Hawaiians

Multirace:
A heritage of more than one race.

Other:
Other race not included in the list

Native:
Native American and First Nations from Canada

White NH:
White race but does not include Hispanics

Mixed:

TERM DEFINITIONS FOR LOCATION SELECTOR

Some of the terms used above are defined below.

Unreached

The percentage of the population who do not consider themselves to be an evangelical based on a national survey and correlated with several other datasets. The following categories are included in the unreached definition: religious but not evangelical (which means they attend an institutional version of religion that is not evangelical); spiritual but not evangelical (which means they are interested in spirituality and may be into alternative spiritualities like new age); and those that are not interested in religion or spirituality.

Top Mission Site

The Top Mission Sites identifies the top unreached locations within the chosen geographical area. To arrive at this designation, a number of data sources have been used and cross-tabulated in order to make this determination. These locations are chosen based on the following factors within the site location:

  • A weighting algorithm that includes the following variables: number of households, percent of active evangelical presence, percent of unreached population, and percent of population that are religious but not evangelical.
  • Ring size based on the IICM Sitescape location type: city (generally inner city or high density area - 1/2 mile ring; suburb - 1 1/2 mile ring; towns - 3 mile ring; and country - 7 mile ring.
  • Distance from other chosen locations based on the IICM Sitescape density location type: city - 1-2 miles; suburb - 3-4 miles; town - 6-8 miles; and country - 14-16 miles.
